My fight for my education

17 Oct

A year ago, UC universities got together to protest against the fee hikes.  I filmed a short piece for the local latino newsmagazine, called La Gente.  The protest was a life changing experience.  Me and one of my great friend, spent the night on campus grounds, and socialized with other individuals from other campus, that we there for the same realize, to fight for equal education.  Those two days, are what I can say become the college student experience, and there are more to come with the college experience that everyone needs to experience.  Enough of my chat.  Here are the two film footage I captured.

My Un-excuse Absences

17 Oct

Hello,

I want to excuse myself, from not updating my blog, in what seems to be two years.  I completely forgot I had a blog, and why I had a blog.  The mere fact is I am a college student, and discovering the world eats my time.  But, this does not excuse me from writing about what I had discovered or eager to discover.  In the past year, I went to explore on the realms of the social, political, cultural, and identity of myself, others, Los Angeles, and of Latin America.  I don’t want to bore you with myself discovery of the world.  I following post will sum up what I have become conscience of in the past two years.

23 Aug

On the streets of Franklin Square, we venture of to take shots of a regular day.  But this day was not a regular day.  We witness the acts of kindness that makes me wonder if it still exist.

Going to the National Capital

23 Aug

It has been a year, since I have been at DC and dramatic changes has happen.  The first on my list of places to visit is the White House.  I have see the White House multiple times. But, the last time I see the White House, a man of many ills. Now, that man no longer lives there.  The second place I want to see is the local restaurants and the neighbor.

To be continue….  Actually, nevermind I don’t want to tell you more about my days adventure.

411 on Yaya, we heard!

22 Aug

I going to be straight forward with you.  My blog is boring. Yes, it is true. But before you exit this blog, continue reading at least five more sentences to know me. My name is Yaya.  Yes, it is weird.  But, I think it suits this blogs.  My blog is the reflections of the Chaos around us.  Ya, we heard before.  Events that have affected us, in the marco level.  But, as a liberal college student, I will be taking the chaos and applying it to the micro level.  The way I see it around me.  The Chaos, of life, art, culture, and reflections is what I will be writing about.
